They were selected as the Construction Manager for the UCFS Healthcare Center located in Griswold Connecticut that we designed. Their team, including their president, project manager, and site superintendent worked in a professional manner to help our clients navigate their construction schedule and strict budget requirements. The bottom line is they delivered what they promised and an organized, friendly, thoughtful manner. Our firm has had an excellent professional relationship for the last 27 years. In that time, we have successfully completed several projects together.

Most recently, we have been working with the Associated Construction Team on the new ESPN Employee Center on the ESPN Main Campus in Bristol, CT. The new Employee Center is expanding the existing cafeteria building on three sides with a newly constructed kitchen, servery, dining, a NFL viewing room able to seat 200 people including a large AV component with two video walls, conference rooms, an HR suite with Training Rooms, computer lab, reading room, and offices. The existing footprint expanded from roughly 22,000 SF to 42,500 SF for a total project cost of $18 million, construction to be completed the summer of 2015. The entire project is currently on schedule and on budget, in no small part due to the construction management expertise of the Associated Construction Team. Throughout the project, Associated has communicated most effectively with all parties and responds quickly and flexibly to Owner changes and Design Team requests.

I offer my recommendation of Associated Construction Company to anyone requiring corporate office construction management services. I would be happy to provide a reference for Associated Construction for any owner requiring more information on their construction management expertise.

I had the pleasure of working with The Associated Construction Company (ACC) on the Digital Center 2 project for ESPN. As construction manager, ACC executed the project with exceptional professionalism, while demonstrating a strong commitment to quality construction practices.

ACC employs a team-based approach, which allowed several major design changes to be realized without a negative impact on the overall schedule. The project was ultimately completed on schedule. We accomplished this in part because of the efficiency, diligence, and hard work of the ACC project management team and subcontractors.

As the Project Architect, I appreciated ACC team members’ follow-through, as well as how thorough each task was implemented. ACC anticipated potential coordination and construction issues, allowing HLW to develop solutions in advance of any complications. We also experienced ACC team members as articulate, excellent communicators.
Throughout the project, ACC kept the client and all consultants well-informed of the project status.

Throughout the entire construction process, from the pre-construction meeting to the final closeout, Associated Construction had a complete plan for the construction phasing, excellent attention to detail, a priority for safety, and exhibited no-nonsense flexibility as the project proceeded with various revisions and changes. Their willingness to “get it done” was much most important and our client never experienced the typical “nickel-and-diming” that so often gets in the way during complex construction projects.

Associated coordinated Liberty Bank’s separate sub-contractors for mechanical and electrical work and always considered those contractors as part of their team.

Liberty Bank set a goal with a preferred occupancy date. The coordinated effort of the entire construction team, led by Associated Construction made certain that happened.
